Ministries

Our mission is; Because of God’s grace, we will prayerfully share the Gospel, through Word and Sacrament, to as many people as possible.

As Christians, serving God involves actively participating in the life of the church and living out one's faith in daily life. Lutheranism is a branch of Protestant Christianity that follows the teachings of Martin Luther, a 16th-century reformer. Lutherans emphasize the importance of grace, faith, and the authority of Scripture.

Ministries are a great way to get involved with Bethel Lutheran Church. We offer:

  • Worship

  • Bible Study

  • Prayer

  • Service to Others

  • Involvement in the Church Community

  • Emphasizing Vocation

  • Sharing the Gospel

  • Seeking Forgiveness and Reconciliation

  • Support for the Church and its Mission

WORSHIP

We believe in the centrality of worship, where believers come together to praise God, hear His Word, and receive the sacraments. The main sacraments in the Lutheran tradition are Baptism and the Lord's Supper (Holy Communion). Regular attendance and active participation in worship services are encouraged.

BIBLE STUDY

Lutherans hold the Bible as the ultimate authority for matters of faith and practice. Our regular Bible Studies are held Sunday morning at 8:30 before worship.  Pastor also engages in a Zoom call Bible study.  For details, check the calendar for times and sessions.

PRAYER

Prayer is an essential part of the Christian life. Lutherans believe in the power of prayer as a means of communicating with God, seeking God’s guidance, and expressing gratitude. Please use the prayer request contact form for any  prayer requests.

SERVICE to
others

Our service team is called The Church Has Left The Building.  Serving God includes serving others, both within the church community and in the wider world.  We grow and distribute the crops of our garden, collect household items and food for those in need, joyfully serve the elderly, and commit our labor to projects both near home and in other communities.  We raise funds for those in need and we share our bounty with others.

involvement in the church community

Active involvement in the life of the church is encouraged. This includes participating in various ministries, volunteering, and supporting the church's activities and outreach efforts.

Emphasizing vocation

We believe that all vocations, whether as a parent, a worker, or a leader, are ways to serve God and others. Therefore, they encourage individuals to faithfully carry out their responsibilities and live out their faith in their daily work and relationships.

sharing the gospel

We emphasize the importance of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others. This includes evangelism and outreach efforts to bring people to faith in Christ.

seeking forgiveness and reconciliation

Recognizing the reality of human sinfulness, Lutherans emphasize the need for repentance and seeking forgiveness both from God and from one another.

Support for the Church and its Mission

Contributing financially to the church's work and mission is seen as a way of supporting the proclamation of the Gospel and the ministry of the church.
